Chapter 1: Introduction
- Lesson 1, Course Overview: This lesson introduces certification and operational requirements for the Remote Pilot in Command (Remote PIC) of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) and provides an overview of the course. You are currently completing this lesson.
Chapter 2: Aircraft and Remote Pilot in Command Requirements
- Lesson 1, sUAS Characteristics and Requirements: This lesson describes key characteristics of sUAS and requirements for registration, markings, and condition
- Lesson 2, Remote Pilot in Command Responsibilities: This lesson examines the role of the Remote PIC and best practices for crew resource management during sUAS operations
Chapter 3: Safe Operation of sUAS
- Lesson 1, Preflight Considerations: This lesson describes requirements for verifying that the sUAS is in a condition for safe operation, loading sUAS, evaluating performance, and considering the effects of weather during sUAS operation
- Lesson 2, Operating Rules: This lesson examines requirements and limitations for sUAS operations
- Lesson 3, Abnormal and Emergency Situations: This lesson describes common abnormal and emergency situations that may arise during sUAS operations and accident reporting requirements
